1953 Iranian coup d'état
At one time Iran was a democracy and they had a deal with British Petroleum and some American oil companies, When the prime minister of Iran wanted to renegotiate the price of oil, British Petroleum along with the the US and CIA orchestrated a coup and assassinated Mohammad Mosaddegh, and overthrew the democratically elected government of Iran. We then installed Mohammad Reza Pahlavi aka The Shaw of Iran He was a brutal son of a bitch and along came another brutal bastard the Ayatollah Kohmeini who was also an asshole.
